Gussie Lee Ratcliff Wylie, left this world for her heavenly home on August 23, 2023, at the age of 83 in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was born on December 16, 1939, in Willow, AR. She was the daughter of Augustus Winfield Ratcliff and Ethel Pritchard Ratcliff.

She graduated from Carthage High School in 1957. During her senior year, at a basketball tournament she was awarded MVP player of the tournament and MVP of the year, and she was named tournament queen of a beauty contest with players of all teams. Worked at First State Bank of Warren as a bank teller for many years, where she retired. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. A member of the Pauline Sunday School Class and served as the secretary and treasurer. Gussie had a servant's heart and served on the food committee for many years at the church. She has a passion for serving people and her family.

She married Phillip Ray Wylie on October 10, 1958. Gussie and Phillip met in the fourth grade. They have been married for almost 65 years.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad who died in 1970 and 1993, respectively and five brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Ray Wylie of Warren, AR. Also survived by her three children, Phillip Michael Wylie and wife Jennifer of El Dorado, AR, Robert Scott Wylie and wife Arlisa of Hernando, MS and Kimberly Kay Hoyle and husband Tony of El Dorado, AR. Six grandchildren, Hunter Wylie and wife Michelle of Tyler, TX, Heath Wylie of Hernando, MS, Olivia Wylie of Hot Springs, AR, John Wylie of El Dorado, AR, Sam Wylie of El Dorado, AR and Kaitlyn Hoyle Gilbert and husband Curt of Centerton, AR; three Great grandchildren, Laura and Heather Wylie of Tyler, TX and Curtis Ryan Gilbert of Centerton, AR and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Frazer's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hampton Springs Cemetery in Carthage, AR by Frazer's Funeral Home.
