Anna Marie "Granny" McCall, 75, Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023. Anna was born on December 23, 1947, in Henry County, Indiana, to Cleotus and Rebecca (Lorton) McCall. She is a 1966 graduate of Knightstown High School.

Anna worked many years at Community East Hospital before her retirement. She was a pillar of dedication to her family and grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to read, and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. She enjoyed going to the beach, especially Panama City. She rooted for the Colts, loved to eat at Cracker Barrel, and could often be found with a smirk on her face. She was the definition of selflessness. Anna attended Greenfield Church of God as well as Word of Life Church.

Anna is survived by her loving children: Jim (Jeanette) Simmons, John (Holly) Simmons, Joe (Shawn) Simmons, and Julie (Mike) Nelson; 10 grandchildren: Alex, Todd, Marrissa, Ashley, Travis, Matt, Katelyn, Rebecca, Hayden, and Lindsey; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings: Mary (Larry) Adkins and Jim (Marsha) McCall; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank McCall; and grandson, Trent Simmons.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service immediately following at 6:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and/or the Susan Komen Breast Foundation.
