James David Ezzell, 78, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017. He was born Monday, June 27, 1938 in Pogo, Alabama to the late John Calvin and Mary Ida Thorn Ezzell.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bette Crowder Ezzell; daughter, Carla Renay (Tommy) Melton; sister, Orlene Mims; grandchildren, Brenden James and Kirsten Melton.
Mr. Ezzell was a veteran of the US Army; manager for K-Mart for 36 years and with Proctor & Gamble for 10 years. His passion was animals, gardening and helping others. His grandchildren were the sparkle in his eyes.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Ezzell at a visitation today, Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 S. Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
