Kathleen Cornett Fields December 6, 1920-October 1, 2016 Kathleen Fields, 95, of Wilson passed away peacefully at home Saturday, October 1, 2016. A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 1407 Forest Hills Road, Wilson, North Carolina. The Rev. Frank Vice will officiate. Kathleen was born December 6, 1920 in Daisy, Kentucky. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of almost 51 years, Vernie Fields. Together, they were members of Forest Hills Baptist Church in Wilson. In earlier years, she served as a Sunday School teacher and a piano player in churches. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ as well as Bible reading and prayer. She and her late husband loved cats, birds and all animals. Kathleen is survived by her sister, Helen (Cornett) Dryke and husband, John of Maplewood, Minnesota as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Kirby and Mallie (Baker) Cornett, two sisters, Edna (Cornett) Jahr and Lois (Cornett) Vice; brothers, Jasper and Fred Cornett.
