Donald Richard Roehl, age 81, of Ripon, died Monday, August 21, 2023 at Bay Harbor Assisted Living in Ripon.
He was born December 16, 1941 son of Alfred and Elaine (Prellwitz) Roehl of Princeton, Wisconsin.
Donald drove truck for many years. He took pride in the places he went and the work he did.
In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Donald loved listening to music, cooking for his family, playing spider solitaire, and watching slapstick comedy. He cherished spending time with his family and sharing stories with them from his trucking years. Donald was a dedicated member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church for many years and enjoyed the fellowship that came along with it.
He is survived by his children, brothers, sisters, granddaughters, great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Becky Jean Roehl; brothers, Alfred Roehl Jr., and Kenneth Roehl; brother-in-law, Robert Handrich; sisters-in-law, Ruth Roehl and Christine Roehl; and nephew, Steven V. Roehl.
Visitation for Donald will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 4:00 -7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971, and again on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 307 Mt Zion Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
A funeral service for Donald will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Pastor Michael Sheppard officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery, Princeton, WI.
