Ronald E. Jennings, 77, passed away September 9, 2016 after a brief illness. Ron was born to Minnie and Joseph Jennings in 1938. Ron was a member of the Cicero Volunteer Fire Department for 42 years. He retired from U.S. Material and Handling. Ron will be remembered for his gentle spirit and great sense of humor. Ron was predeceased by his son, Dan in 2008 and his wife, Carol (Stevens) in 2013.
He is survived by his sons, Ronald (Brenda) Jennings of Jamesville, Steve (Michelle) Jennings of Brewerton and Joe (Tonya) Jennings of Georgia, seven grandchildren, Ryan (Lindsay), Brittany (Anthony), Sean (Kasey), Tyler (Alyssa) Erica, Rachel (Grant) and Jacob and four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Nash, Mia and Liliana, as well as his dog, Heidi. He also leaves behind two sisters, Ann (Franklyn) Blunt of NC, Millie (John) Souva of Camden and brother, Dick (Connie) Jennings of SC.
A memorial service will be held at the Cicero Fire Department Station 1 on Route 11, Cicero on Saturday, 9/17/16 from 10 to 11 a.m. where a time of visitation will follow until 1 p.m. A private burial service will be held at a later time.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers in Ron's name to the Alzheimer's Association CNY Chapter or the Cicero Volunteer Fire Department Station 1.
