James A. Arend, 64, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Friday at his residence. He was born in Altoona, the son of Wilbert J. and Betty J. (Barclay) Arend.
James served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, and had been employed at Blair Imaging for the past 36 years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but he loved his family more.
James was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Catherine B. Lantz; and half brother, John Shackelton.
