Lelia Lois Ahart of Union, MO departed this life in St. Clair, MO on Saturday, August 19, 2023, having reached the age of eighty-five years, six months and twenty-one days. Lelia was born in Meta, MO on January 29, 1938, daughter of Winifred Elmer Bilyeu and Cleta Rose Bilyeu nee Pendleton. On May 4, 1957 she was united in marriage to Dallas Leroy Ahart and three children came to bless this union.

Lelia is survived by her husband, Dallas Ahart of Union, MO; by her children, Gail Ahart and wife, Kelly, of St.Clair, MO, Ricky Ahart and girlfriend, Mary Bowlin, of Fenton, MO and Marlene Rammelsburg and husband, Ron, of Union, MO; by five grandchildren, Ryan, Logan, Austin, Samantha and Shelby; by two step-grandchildren, Stacy and Megan; by two great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Ryker; by six step-great-grandchildren, Ava, Trevor, Makena, Harper, Keegan and Deacon; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Lelia was preceded in death by her parents, Winifred and Cleta Bilyeu; by her brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Bilyeu; by her sister, Velma Lee Bilyeu; and by one infant granddaughter, Danielle Ahart.

Lelia was a Christian and member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. During her working career she was employed for twenty-four years at H.R. Electronics in High Ridge, MO. In her spare time, she found pleasure in sewing, embroidering and making quilts. She also enjoyed working in her garden and canning her produce. Her greatest joy came from the many wonderful times she spent with her family and especially with her grandchildren. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. Johnny Dover officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO.
