Alois "Louie" M. Zakrzewski gained his Heavenly wings on August 17, 2023 at the age of 91 years old. He was born and raised in Marche Arkansas to Joseph and Mary Bawiec Zakrzewski on March 1, 1932.

At a young age, Louie became interested in music and begun lessons to play the accordion which he did and enjoyed his entire life. His musical talent enabled him to play any instrument that interested him but his main love was his accordion. Louie enjoyed polka music and visiting with people and will be remembered for his great smile and kind heart. For over 25 years he played the accordion in the Danny and the Polka Dots Band. Over the years, Louie played for countless Polish weddings and dances in this area but also at the annual Hot Springs Octoberfest years ago.

He was drafted into the United States Army in 1952 and served for two years before his Honorable Discharge. During his service he had the opportunity to bring his accordion to Korea and often played for his fellow servicemen for entertainment.

After his Army discharge he returned to Marche and for a short time worked for the railroad. At the encouragement of his oldest brother Carl, Louie enrolled at the Universal Television System in Kansas City, Missouri to study television repair. After completion of this school, he went into business with a friend by buying Sanford TV Service on 12th and Fair Park in Little Rock. In addition to owning Sanford TV Service, he and his partner begun Little Rock Electronics.

After retiring and selling Sanford TV Service when he was 65 years old, Louie continued to operate Little Rock Electronics out of his home until he could no longer climb a ladder to pull wire with his last job being Edwards Food Giant on Kavanaugh in Little Rock when he was 79 years old. He was a hard worker his entire life with a strong work ethic to be admired. Louie loved gardening either in his back yard or with Michael "in the country", he also loved riding the tractor and tinkering with things.

On October 28, 1962, Louie married Augustine "Gussie" Zajac Zakrzewski and together they built their home on Scenic Hill in North Little Rock. In this home, he and Gussie raised their three children. Louie and Gussie were married for 48 years until she passed in 2010. Louie continued to live in his home until the summer of 2019. While in his home he became a good cook of sweets, especially pies! Often in the evening hours you could catch him playing his accordion in the living room.

Louie is preceded in death not only by his wife and parents but also his siblings and their spouse's: Carl (Cecelia) Zakrzewski, Sylvester (Marie) Zakrzewski, Maggie (Leon) Seredynski and Sister-in-law Pee Wee Zakrzewski along with several nieces and nephews.

Louie leaves to cherish his memory his children Rose Ann (Philip) Hodges, Carolyn Zakrzewski, Michael (Chana) Zakrzewski, brother Albin Zakrzewski, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joan and Lester Reppond, sister-in-law Barbara Zajac along with many other family members.

The family would like to thank VA Home Based Primary Care, Arkansas Hospice and Cornerstone Caregiving for the loving care that was provided over the recent years. Without their help, Louie would not have been able to remain in the care of his family until the very end.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am and will be followed by a Rosary at 10:00an with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial will be in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery,
