Genebe Turner
Genebe Turner, 90 of Rush County passed away August 7, 2023 in Monticello, KY. She was born April 25, 1933 in Russell County, KY to the late Charlie and Mary (Stephens) Zimmerman. Genebe married Raymond Turner on June 20, 1980 and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2004. She was a member of Rushville Baptist Temple. Genebe worked at Rushville Walmart for many years.

Genebe is survived by her sons, Roger (Linda) Smith, Doyle Hardwick, Bobby (Donna) Eastman; daughters, Joann (Jimmy) Guinn, Fay (Ronny) Stinson and Linda Eastman; brother Charlie Zimmerman and sister Katherine Cummins. She will also be missed by 15 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 3 step-sons, Vernon (Debbie) Turner, Larry (Peggy) Turner, and Charles Turner; 2 step-daughters, Cindy (Bennie) Newton and Melinda Bever.
Genebe is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary (Stephens) Zimmerman, husband Raymond Turner, daughter Marie Shaw, brothers George, Verdith, Leland and Carthel Zimmerman, sisters Velma Abbott, Lou Dean, and Mae Toler, step-daughters, Brenda Sebastian and Rebecca Turner and step-son, Tim Turner.

Services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1 PM in Moster Mortuary, with Pastor Bruce Pierce presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 11AM until the time of service in the mortuary on Saturday. Burial will be held in Moscow Cemetery.
