Annamarie Frances Langlie
June 15, 1942 - August 11, 2023

Annamarie Frances "Ann" Langlie (nee, Seliger), age 81, of Champlin, MN., passed away on Aug. 11, 2023.

Ann, a devout Catholic and dedicated educator, was born June 15, 1942, in Chicago, IL. She grew up in the Chicago suburbs, enjoyed playing basketball and bike riding, and graduated from Palatine Township High School. Ann then graduated from Northern Illinois University, and taught math at LaSelle Peru High School. She attended Indiana University, for post-graduate work, where she met her husband, Richard. They were wed in Palatine, IL., on August 13th, 1966, and were married for 55 years. They moved to Champlin, to teach math at North Hennepin Community College, in Brooklyn Park. She taught there for over four decades, and was named educator of the year, in 2015. She volunteered as a girl scout leader, and as a CCD Instructor, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, in Anoka. Ann enjoyed camping with her family at State and National Parks, traveling to Europe, and going on river cruises. She was also a voracious reader and a patron of the arts. Spirited to the end, Ann made an impression with her mischievous Seliger sarcasm, on residents and staff alike, at Benedictine Living Community, her home for the past eight months.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and parents, Joseph and Irene Seliger.

She is survived by son, David (Nicole) Langlie; daughter, Michelle Langlie (Mark Bellomy); and brother, Craig (Donetta) Seliger.

A visitation will be held from 4-7 pm, on Tuesday, August 22nd, at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, will be on Wednesday, August 23rd, at 10:30 am, following a recitation of the rosary at 9:30 am, in the church, with visitation at the same time in the gathering space. Internment at Calvary Cemetery, will follow the mass, and then a luncheon, at St. Stephen's Church.
