Sharla Anderson Lichtenberg (LDS), 77, died August 15, 2023, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Sharla was born on October 4, 1945, to Glenice and Stanley Anderson. She was the third oldest of her five sisters, Cora Ley, Ellen, Sharla, Reva, and Eunice. Sharla was raised in Independence, Idaho. Her father was a farmer, and her mother was a homemaker and school teacher.
Sharla always loved to draw, science, and cats. She was also a hard worker on her father's farm. She also had a huge imagination and loved to tell stories.
She loved school and graduated in 1963. She was also a dedicated LDS member. She never judged people; she always took them at face value.
She once went to the Palmyra pageant in New York. In 1968, she graduated from Rick's College with her associates in science.
Later, in 1971 or so, she met the love of her life, Robert Lichtenberg. They started dating, and in 1972 they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She moved out east to Arlington, Virginia, for a while and had her first son, Kirk. Later, she and Robert moved back to Idaho and had their second son, Stanley. In 1979, she had Melissa, and in 1980, she and Robert got a house in Sugar City. In 1981, they had James.
Sharla was a great homemaker, very patient, and a very giving lady. She did the best she could to raise her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Reva and Eunice.
She is survived by her children, Kirk, Stanley, Melissa, and James; her sisters, Cora Ley and Ellen; and her grandchildren, Sariah, Alexx, Nicolas, and Isaac.
Funeral Service: will be at the Sugar City, Idaho Stake Center; viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. Funeral at 11:00 am and gravesite at 12:30 pm.
