CEDAR VALE - Alice "Pat" Myers. 66 of Cedar Vale died Saturday. Aug. 19, 2006, at the William Newton Hospital in Winfield. She was born Nov. 11, 1939, in Del Norte, Colo. Her parents were Robert V. and Alice M. (Von Bernuth) Castoe. She was raised in western Kansas and eastern Colorado.
She married Gary L. Myers on Feb. 2, 1957 in Sedan. She lived the past 31 years at Cedar Vale where she worked as a CNA at the Cedar Vale Nursing home and also the Cedar Vale Community Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Gary of the home; Sons, Dallas Wynn Myers of Cedar Vale, Gary Shawn Myers of Winfield; daughter, Tammy Miller of Cedar Vale; brothers, John Castoe of Garden City. William Castoe of Dumas, Texas; sisters, Roberta Koehn, Dorothy Griggs of Garden City: eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughter Sandra Myers and her brother Vernon Gene Castoe.
Graveside services were Wednesday, Aug. 23. 2006, at 10 a.m., at Cedar Vale City Cemetery. Memorials will go to the American Cancer Society.
