Husband of Nora J. Markham
--------------------------------
I think this unknown Long buried in Bernie Cem. may be William M. Long. I found at www.sos.mo.gov death certificate #18659 in that name. Date of birth was 25 Nov 1868 and date of death was 18 May 1933 with burial 20 May 1933 in Bernie Cemetery. I could not find death certificates for Nora or the baby Raymond. Back in 1974 on a visit to my grandmother in Bernie, I took a pictures of a few markers in the cemetery. One of those was a marker which was still standing, but in bad shape--the sides were broken and starting to crumble. Only the name "Long" on the top was legible. It is the same marker you have posted now completely disintegrated, but the name "Long" is still legible. Anyway, if you agree with me, I thought you might like to add it to the page.
