Bernice Irene O'Neal, age 91, of Cantonment, Florida passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023.

Bernice Irene O'Neal, 91, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023. She was born on June
26, 1932 in Uriah, Alabama. Bernice was a longtime member of Gonzalez Baptist Church. She worked at Vanity Fair for many years, she started out in Atmore, AL, then went to Robertsdale, AL and was in Milton, FL when she retired.
She enjoyed growing and canning her own vegetables each year. She also loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to sew and she was also a great cook!
Bernice is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Minnie Lee Kirchharr, her husband Allen O'Neal, her son Charles Hollingsworth and two grandchildren, Scotty Hughes and Cristal Hicks. Also three sisters and two brothers.
Bernice is survived by her two daughters, Marie (Ronnie) Pitts, and Betty (Billy Glen)
Sells, eight grandchildren; Robyn Parmer, Kristi (Jimmy) Brown, Missy (Mark) Morgan,
Bobby (Heather) Hughes, Jason Hughes, Charlette Paulk, Kimberly Brock and Bradley Hollingsworth. Also 27 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren. Bernice is also survived by 3 sisters, Thelma Bouler, Daisy Rowland and Lois (Wilber) Evers.
Bernice spent her last years at Specialty Center in Pensacola and many who took care of her were like family to her. She was loved and will be missed by many!
Funeral services will be held on August 19, 2023 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. Family visitation will be held from 11:30am to 12:00 noon, with friends at 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm.
