Mr. C. E. Boles died from the effects of an over-dose of laudanum taken from his own hands at his residence near Glasgow Junction, last Friday night. Some years ago, Mr. Boles was so unfortunate as to become involved in a difficulty in Texas in which his opponent was slain. He was acquited [sic] at the time, but we are informed that the circumstance apparently weighed upon his mind, and he was subject at time to moods of terrible despondency. It is more than probable, we hear, that was the indistinct cause of his death. The remains were interred in the Odd Fellows Cemetery here, Sunday, in the presence of a large crowd of sympathizing friends and relatives.
