Married Annie Teasley (1st wife) on 28 Oct 1824 in Elbert Co., GA. Married Catherine Salmons (or Sammons) (2nd wife) on 15 Aug 1858 in Oglethorpe Co., GA. Son of Elizabeth (Souther) Crisler (buried at Spring Ridge) and Julius Crisler (buried in Georgia). Wesley had a twin brother, Blanton. Had the Crisler Plantation on Davis Road. He was a pioneer in this area and one of the founding members of the Spring Ridge Methodist Church. His grandfather, John George Crisler, was a revolutionary patriot as was his great grandfather, Theobold Fawatt Crisler, and great great grandfather, Andrew (Andreas) Gaar. His maternal grandfather, Michael Souther, was also a patriot of the Revolutionary War. Wesley was too old to be a soldier during the Civil War but did render aide to the Confederate Army. The family sustained heavy losses during the war but the house was spared and the property remains in the family.
