John Evans, an old time resident of the Madison valley, died at his home Tuesday morning at 7:00 o'clock. Mr. Evans was run over by a cow about two weeks ago and sustained injuries, which, aggravated by old age and other troubles, proved fatal. Mr. Evans is survived by a brother, William Evans of the Madison, and one son, Allen. The deceased was 76 years of age. Interment was made in the cemetery at Jeffers Wednesday afternoon.
