Funeral service for Carolyn Baker Osborne, age 85, of Decatur, will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 at 2:00PM at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Riley and Rev. Barrett Long officiating. Burial will be at Herring Cemetery in Hartselle, Alabama. Visitation will be from 1:00PM to 2:00PM prior to the service at the church. Shelton Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Carolyn was born November 26, 1937 to Lloyd Livingston Baker and Louise Herring Baker in Morgan County. She passed away August 7, 2023 at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charlie Osborne, son Charles Randall Osborne, and sister, Diane Long.
She is survived by her son, Lamar Osborne (Amy), daughter, Lynette McNutt (Rickey), daughter-in-law, Lisa Murphy Osborne; eight grandchildren, Beth Jones (Zeb), Erik Osborne (Erin), Andrew Osborne (Katie), Heather McNutt Segars (Walter), Brent McNutt, Jordan McNutt, Keeley Osborne, Gentry Osborne; seven great grandchildren, Olivia, Allie, Easton, Emery, Charlie, Reagan, Little Easton; four brothers, Thurman Baker, Mike Baker (Meg), David Baker, and Perry Baker.
She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and served as Church secretary. She retired from Sears after 30+ years of service.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandson.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family asked that Donations be made to The Gideons International.
