Obituary- Many Mourn the Death of Samuel W. Thompson-
The body of Samuel W. Thompson was laid at rest in Ping cemetery Saturday, services being conducted by the Masonic lodge, of which he was an honored member. Many people witnessed the ritualistic ceremony in the Union hall, and the offerings of choice flowers has been seldom equalled at a funeral in Pomeroy.
The pallbears were Frank Burt, Fred Bennett, Dr. Clark Black, Fred Strain, Ray McClung, and S.E. Bruce. W.L. was master of ceremonies.
