Bernard E. Flatt Sr. "Bernie" 127 Courtney Ct., Neenah Age 60, died Tuesday, September 8, 1992, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. Bernie was born September 13, 1931, in Chicago, son of the late Ira and Clementine (Martin) Flatt. He married Marilyn J. Croxen on February 4, 1951, in Peo-tine, Illinois. He was a Neenah area resident for 19 years, a 1963 graduate of Olivet Nazarene College, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Bernie was an Eagle Scout, a former Scout Master, and a vigil member of Order of the Arrow. He was a member of BPOE 2246 of Livonia, Michigan. Bernie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Neenah.



Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; two daughters: Marilyn Jean Flatt and Melissa Jo Flatt, both of Neenah; two sons; Bernard E. "Joe" Flatt Jr., Appleton; Barrie W. Flatt and fiancée, Tammy Cox, both of Menasha; two brothers: Donald (Crystal) Flatt, Wichita Falls, Texas; James Flatt, Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren: Justin Allen Flatt and Michelle Marie Flatt. Preceded in death by an infant brother, Allen. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 10, 1992, at 11 a.m. at the Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah with the Rev. Mark Klaisner officiating. Interment will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday (today) at the funeral home with an Elks Service at 6:30 p.m. A memorial has been established.
