Mr. Bruffey was the retired owner of Highland Ice Machine Co., was a member of Haymount United Methodist Church, was a past master of Creasy Proctor Lodge No. 679, A.F. & A.M., a member of the Scottish Rite, a member of the York Rite and was a member of Sudan Shriners. He was also an Army veteran of World War II. Survived by: Wife, Juanita; son, John; daughters, Sonya Jenkins and Jennifer Hollerung; sister, Ethel Meyer; and three grandchildren. He died in N.C. State Veterans Nursing Home at age 85.
