Herman Eilering, 65, of 1611 North Illinois Street, died at 11:15 last night at his home after an illness of five days. He was an employee of the J. F. Imbs Milling Company here for 33 years.
Mr. Eilering was born at Damiansville, Dec. 10, 1892, a son of the late Henry and Anna Eilering, nee Baahlman and married Lena Middendorf at Damiansville, Apr. 4, 1923
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons and a daughter: Hubert, of 304 North 38th Street; Ferdinand, of 82 Friendly Drive; Harold, of 713 South 12th Street and LaVera, wife of Roman Haskamp, of Macon, Mo. He is also survived by three brothers: Edward, of Damiansville; George, of Jacksonville, Ill. and Martin, of Breese; and eight grandchildren. Two brother and a sister preceded him in death.
The funeral will be held at 8:45 Monday morning from the Pete Gaerdner Funeral Homme with services at 9 o'clock at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Msgr. Joe Stegner, pastor, will officiate. Internment will be in Green Mount Cemetery.
Mr. Eilering was a member of the Grain Millers Local 95, Butz-Jobe Post Catholic War Veterans and the Holy Name Society of St. Teresa's parish.
