Funeral services for Leo Dance 89, of 901 S.Webster st.will be at 1 pm Monday at the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home where friends may call after 7 pm today. Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery.
Mr. Dance, a master barber since 1901 and a barber at the Hotel Orlando shop for 45 years, died at 6:30 pm Thursday at Decatur and Macon County hospital.
He was born near Brownstown on March 4,1873 to Asbury and Mary Ann Shepherd Dance. Mr.Dance was a member of the Central Christian church and a member of the IOOF lodge at St.Elmo.
He married Viola Lewis in June 1904 at St.Louis, She survives. He also leaves a daughter, Mrfs. Jack(Kate)Zoeller,Mt. Vernon two sisters, Mrs.Jennie Goldsborough of Brownstown and Mrs.Zora Sapp of St.Elmo, four grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. One son preceded him in death.
