Joyce Bunting Allsbrook Vaughan, 91, of Scotland Neck, NC went to be with Jesus on April 24, 2023. Joyce was born in the Belvoir community in Pitt County, NC on March 9, 1932. She was the daughter of Willie Spencer Bunting and Catharine Gay Harrell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tommy R. Allsbrook and her husband J. Perry Vaughan, infant son Timothy Stewart Allsbrook, and her siblings, Maurice, Odell, Alice Louise, Stewart, Kenneth, Leonard, and Ira Bunting.

Mrs. Vaughan is survived by her children, Steve Allsbrook (Kathy) of Midlothian,VA; Mary Kay Bradshaw (Scott) of Plymouth, NC; Amy L. Allsbrook, and Tommie Too Allsbrook Braddy, both of Scotland Neck; her grandchildren, David Allsbrook of Archdale, NC; Kelly A. Hartland (Bill) of Fredericksburg, VA; Justin Bradshaw (Liz) of Clayton, NC; Meredith Bradshaw of Clermont, FL; and Will Braddy of Buies Creek, NC; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Peggy Wall of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private. Family and friends will join in a service of remembrance in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, Scotland Neck, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6.The family will receive friends in the sanctuary following the service.

Joyce was known for her lifelong love of birds and flowers. Memorial contributions may be made directly to First Baptist Church for the Joyce Vaughan Flower Fund, 1015 Church Street, Scotland Neck, NC 27874
