THERESA BOUDREAUX BRADY
"I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Now there is a crown of righteousness, from which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall award to me." 2 Timothy 4:7-8. Theresa, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, born in Church Point, passed away on Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 72 and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lula Savoy Boudreaux; and brothers, Jack Jr. and Hendrick. She is survived by her husband of more than 47 years, Virgil Brady; three sons, Kevin Brady and wife Christine of Prairieville, Brian Brady of Baton Rouge, and Steven Brady and wife Lan of Houston; a daughter, Karen Brady of Jackson, Miss.; four grandchildren, Kyle, Matthew, Kavanaugh and Megan; brothers, Floyd and wife Sandra, Glenn and wife Elaine and Carl and wife Robin; sisters, Eldine, Loretta and husband Willie Jagneaux, Linda and husband Jimmy Morgan, and Glenda and Drusilla; and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved to cook and had several published recipes. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Joseph Steffes, celebrant. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank the staff of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Hospice of Baton Rouge, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Dr. David Hanson and Dr. Jennifer Szurgot. Pallbearers will be Floyd Boudreaux, Carl Boudreaux, Glenn Boudreaux, Jimmy Morgan, Keith Jagneaux, Brian Brady, Steven Brady and Kevin Brady. In lieu of flowers, please spend some quality time with your family and friends. Donations in her name may be made to St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church or Hospice of Baton Rouge.
