Jacqueline Deanna Roberts Hatch, of South Jordan, passed away on July 4, 2023. Born December 9, 1940 to Lawrence Richard Roberts and Olive Viola Leak Roberts in Ogden, Utah. Preceded in death by her husband, LaRelle J Hatch and son Gary, she is survived by her sister Anita Shaw, and by children Geoffery (Marla), Deanna (Allen), Gary's wife AnneMarie, David (Melissa) and Bryan (Allison), along with seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Jackie lived a full life. She raised five children after the untimely death of her husband in 1975. During the early years, she divided her time between part-time work and caring for her children. Eventually, she completed her Bachelor's Degree. She taught 2-4th grades at Copper View and Columbia elementary schools. She enjoyed travel and getting involved in the community. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and she volunteered at the Gale Center of History and Culture.

Our mom loved music, having sung with the BYU Opera Workshop in college and sharing her voice and piano talents in church and community groups throughout her life. She insisted her children take piano lessons and supported us in band, choir, and theatre. She had a beautiful soprano voice. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her love of music, pursuit of education, and devotion to her beliefs have inspired her friends and family.

Jackie did hard things, had adventures, shared her talents, lived her values, and enjoyed the love of many people.

Funeral services will be held at the LDS chapel at 11251 S. 2700 W. in South Jordan. A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00pm. Funeral services will be on Monday, July 10, 2023 with a viewing at 10:00 to 10:45am and service at 11:00am.
