LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Francis Bedard, age 90, of Las Vegas, Nev., passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas following a brief illness. Francis was born Feb. 11, 1914 in Alburg, Vt., the son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Blair) Bedard, and was a World War II veteran. On July 27, 1940, he married the former Fay Epstein, who predeceased him in February, 1993.

He is survived by one daughter, Jona Blevins, and her husband Gary of Pueblo, Colo.; a grandson, Jeffrey Blevins of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter-in-law, Marilyn (McAndrews) Bedard of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three sisters, Germaine Raymond of Sampsonville, Madeline Lord of Henryville, P.Q., Canada and Florence Blair of Alburg; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son, Norman in 1996; brothers Joseph in 1964, Paul in 1973, sisters Mary Raymond in 1988 and Linda Howell in 1991.

A private internment was held at St. Amadeus Cemetery in Alburg, Vt. today, March 19, 2004 at 11 a.m.
