Shirley M. (Parker) Beliunas, 97, of Worcester's Homestead Hall and formerly of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.

Shirley was born, raised, and educated in Holden, one of five children of the late Whitner R. Parker and Clara M. (Stafford). She graduated from the former Holden High School, where she was secretary of her graduating class. Shirley then attended Becker Junior College in Worcester.

She was employed as a secretary at the former Heald Machine, Division of Cincinnati Milacron Co. in Worcester for over forty years, retiring in 1984. Shirley was active in the Girls Bowling League at Heald Machine and was a member of the Camera Club, being secretary of both. Shirley later worked at Cook Machinery Associate in Auburn for almost four years.

Shirley was an accomplished target-rifle shooter and competed locally and in competitions in Ohio, where the National Matches are held. She was a former member of the Worcester Pistol & Rifle Club.

Shirley was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in North Oxford, where she also served as librarian for over fifteen years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank J. Beliunas, in 1992. Her siblings, the late Hazel G. Jones, Edythe I. Carey, Clifford R. Parker, Dorothy M. Casey, Whitner P. Parker, Alice R. McNutt, Everett S. Parker, Evelyn V. Parker, all predeceased her as well. Shirley leaves four generations of nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her very much.

Shirley's family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Homestead Hall for their compassion and care for her over the years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Baptist Church, 693 Main Street, North Oxford, MA 01537.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Shirley's family from 10 – 11 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the First Baptist Church, 693 Main Street, North Oxford, with her funeral to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be held in North Cemetery, Oxford.
