At his residence in Speed's Addition, 303 Drummond street, Friday morning, March 17, Rufus M. Barber, age 39 years.
Mr. Barber's death followed a long illness with pneumonia. He had resided in this city for the past seven or eight years and was universally esteemed, and his loss is much lamented. The funeral will take place this morning at the family cemetery in Bolton, the remains being conveyed there by a special train leaving at 6:30 o'clock. He leaves a wife and six children, besides an aged mother, six brothers and five sisters.
