Larry Carman Harris, 77 of Narrows, Virginia departed this life in his home on July 26, 2023.

Born in Narrows, Virginia on August 17, 1945, he was the son of the late Luther Arvil Harris and Hattie Irene Blankenship Harris.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Martin Harris; son-in-law, Michael Joe Allen; two grandchildren; and his brother and business partner, Jerry Harris.

Larry served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Sean Harris of Narrows, Dean Harris of Columbia South Carolina, Cassandra Allen of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Michael Shrader of Narrows; eight grandchildren; a brother, Marlon Harris (Waynette) of Blacksburg; sister, Sarah Jeanette Harris Fletcher; sister-in-law, Evelyn Harris; and special friends, Donnie and Sam Hare.

The family will receive friends in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 7:00 PM with Dr. Ward Harris officiating. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia. The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to serve the Harris family.
