Born July 1, 1921, in Chicago, the daughter of Louis and Frances Lockowitz, she died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Buffalo Grove.
Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. Adeline was employed as a caregiver by Wisdom Elder Care, Inc. in Elmhurst.
She was an active member and past officer of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Rosary Council Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Wallace of Atlanta; her stepchildren, Carol (Jim) Pomplun and Wayne (Paula) Spychala; her grandchildren, Susan Peterson, Scott, Daniel, Mark and Adam Spychala; her great-grandchildren, Christopher Wallace, Ryan, Alyssa and Ray Peterson; her brother, Stan "Jerry" (Mary) Lockowitz; and her sister-in-law, Clara Lockowitz.
Adeline was preceded in death by her first husband, Aurelius Chiappetta; her second husband, Frank J. Spychala; her sister, Frances; and her brothers, Edward, Louis and Chester Lockowitz.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
