He was born in New Market on July 29, 1932, the son of the late Jesse and Faye (Fanning) Kier.
Besides his parents, he was preceded by his grandson, Mark Writsel; granddaughter, Kristie Harris; two brothers, Delner and Gleason Kier; sister, Vera Simbro; and brother-in-law, Roger Simbro.
Kenneth served in the United States Army and was a member of the FOE 1161 and AMVETS 61.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Mary (Parshall) Kier, whom he married Nov. 1, 1952; He is survived by one son,two daughters and six grandchildren.
On behalf of Kenneth's wishes, he is to be cremated.
