Uncle Johnny was the middle boy of six children born to Michael and Angeline Rohmer Kleiss. He and his brother Joe lived on a farm 3 miles west of Muenster all their adult life. They loved to raise farm crops and cattle and had a large garden on a farm not far from their home. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. After his brother Joe died he lived alone. He spent the last years of his life at St. Richard's Villa. He was the last of his family except for 11 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
