Funeral services for Linda "Jo" Bell Allen, 74, of Coushatta, LA will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Fort officiating and Ann Neal and Bro. Shawn Beard assisting. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Allen was born February 7, 1949 in Castor, LA and passed away July 24, 2023. Linda enjoyed playing cards and camping. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and she treasured the many memories they made together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Alcie Bell; sisters, Margaret Reed and husband B.H., Wanda Rowell and husband Bob; brother, Roger Bell; sister, Brenda Grigg and husband Roger; and brother-in-law, Tommy Allen.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles Allen; daughter, Cyndy Freeman and son-in-law, Andy; son, Mark Allen and daughter-in-law, Melissa; twelve grandchildren: Marcus Cox and wife Amanda, David Beard and wife Kaitlyn, Dillon Freeman and wife Joy, A.J. Freeman and wife Destinee, Dustin Allen and wife Hannah, Kori Bice and husband Daniel; fourteen great-grandchildren: Bentley Cox, Raelynn Cox, Landon Cox, Noah Simmons, Amberly Simmons, Braylon Freeman, J.J. Freeman, Declan Freeman, Mabrey Beard, Haygen Beard, Carter Allen, Carson Allen, Rae Bice and Saylor Bice; special sister-in-law, Margaret Allen; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Steve Bamburg, Donna Hutto, and Linda Blanchard.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Cox, David Beard, Dillon Freeman, Dustin Allen, Daniel Bice, Dalton Hubbard, and A.J. Freeman.

The family wishes to express special thanks to Bristol Hospice and the staff of Green Meadow Haven.
