Michael Jarrett was born September 7, 1838, in Morgan county, Indiana and departed this life in Baxter Springs, KS on February 24, 1916 aged 77 years, 5 months, and 17 days.
Deceased was married to Clarissa Voiles October 17, 1858. To this union 11 children were born, 8 of whom together with his wife survive him.
Mr. Jarrett moved to Kansas in January, 1882, settling in this county where he lived since that time.
The surviving children are Mrs. E. Mishler, A. A. Jarrett, Mrs. John W. Mishler, John Jarrett, George Jarrett, William Jarrett, Mrs. William George and Mrs. James Barr.
Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.
