Melda Lucas Langley, 85, of Lucama, died Saturday, July 22, 2023.

The visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00-7:30 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr, Wilson. The funeral will be held at Little Rock Original Free Will Baptist Church, 6115 Little Rock Church Rd, Lucama, at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 27. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm, Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2800 Nash St N, Wilson.

Mrs. Langley was a retired educator who led a full life filled with family, friends, beach trips, travel and card games. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa - the International Honorary Organization of Women Educators.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jack Langley; daughters, Lisa Fey of Atlanta, GA and Kimberly Meza (Rommel) of North Prince George, VA; grandchildren, Kevin and Glen Meza; brother, Rudolph (Monta) Lucas of Mountain City, TN.

Mrs. Langley was preceded in death by her parents, Romie and Elma Parrish Lucas; her brother Charles and sister Joanne.
