Shirley Mokerski, 81, Grand Forks, ND., passed away peacefully, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, with her family by her side.

Shirley Nell (Muston) Mokerski, was born on January 18, 1942, in Rockdale, TX., the daughter of Amon F. and Robbie L. (Dyer) Muston. She lived in Rockdale until the age of sixteen, when she met Sylvester Mokerski. They were married on December 28, 1958, in Rockdale. Following their marriage, they made their home in Minto, ND., Ardoch, ND., Drayton, ND., and Hampden, ND. They lived and traveled in their motorhome, spending winters in Rockdale and Corpus Christie, TX. She was employed with American Crystal Sugar, in Drayton, until Sylvester retired.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, fishing, The Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion in Rollag, MN., BINGO, and the "Tuesday Casino Bus," to Mahnomen, MN. She was a longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, in Grand Forks.

She is survived by her special friend, Roger Regimbal; her children: Sherry (Robert) Thompson, Grand Forks, ND., Sidney (Pam) Mokerski, Grand Forks, ND., Shelly (Norman) Thompson, Cavalier, ND., Steve (Sherry) Mokerski, Grand Forks, ND., and Sandra (Tommy Chute) Cadreau, Grand Forks, ND.; grandchildren: Cory Cadreau, Rebecca and Rachel Thompson, Micah Mokerski, Brandon and Tennielle Thompson; 7 great-grandchildren: Nathan, Alek, Kayleigh, Carley, John, Harper, and Theodore; and her brother, Eddie Jo Muston, Navasota, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Syl Mokerski; a son, "Butch" Sylvester Mokerski, Jr.; her parents; a granddaughter, Kayla Cadreau; a brother, Amon O. Muston; sisters: Edna Muston, and Rosa Mae Gilbert; and a brother-in-law, Ambrose Mokerski.

Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2023, at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, in Ardoch, ND.
A Casino Bus: Will leave at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, from 851 University Avenue, in Grand Forks, to take Shirley to her "final resting stop," at St. John's Cemetery, in Ardoch.
Following the Graveside Service: Everyone is invited to 851 University Avenue, in Grand Forks, to gather and share memories.
