My husband is the ggreat-grandson of Richard Baseley. John A Baseley (1858-1924) and Mary Etta Basely (1857-1903) were married in June 1877. However, the marriage record would have listed her as Marietta Rhodes, born 23 Mar 1857 in Lowell, Dodge, WI, USA to Ransom A Rhodes
(1811-1888) and Mary Harrington (1826-1904). According to a family records, (recorded in a spiral notebook, by God only knows... and provided to me by my mother in law) Marietta married John in June ?? 1877 in Salem, Pierce, WI, USA and
Mary Baseley's granddaughter Irene (? great) researched her family and we collaborated. Also Wisconsin court records were obtained. The Twins, Rosetta and Maryetta were born 23 Mar 1857 Lowell, Dodge co, Wisconsin. They were married in a double ceremony with their father Ransom and brother-in-law William Bennett as witnesses. The girls were fifteen. Maryetta's marriage did not last and she remarried in June 1878 Kenosha co, Wisconsin. I believe Irene's work is now on a Family Tree under Baseley.
