Glenn Fredrick Schwander was born in Salem, Allegan, Michigan to Fredrick Jacob and Ida May (Weber) Schwander on 27 Aug 1896. On 8 May 1917 Glenn married Elva May Slagel. To this union were born 2 children. Dorothy Lucille and Keith Glenn Schwander. Somewhere between 1920 and 1930, Glenn moved his family from Michigan to California. Glenn was a sheet metal worker. Sometime before the start of WWII, Glenn went to work for Weber. He was the superintendent of the metal division in the Marine department. Glenn and Elva divorced by 1943. That is when Glenn married Blanche Tindall, then he married Myrtle R Lambert in 1947. Along the way, he befriended John and Mildred Van der Vere. John died in 1960. In 1962, Glenn married Mildred. They remained married until her death in 1968. Glenn buried her with John. Glenn died in 1976 and was buried 4 Mar 1976 in the Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California. He was 80 years of age.
