Michael Bilow died at his home here on Tuesday Oct. 19th. after a long and painful illness. His disease was a cancerous affection of the stomach and no encouragement was given by his physicians Drs. Hawley and McFalls for months past. Mr. Bilow was born at Winchester, Canada, June 1st 1817, where he lived until 1829 when he removed to Waddington in this county. In 1841 he settled on a large farm two miles from this village where he has since resided. He was married in 1842 to Miss Calista Dodge. Seven children were born to them, all of whom are still living. Mr. Bilow was a hard working, industrious farmer and of bis generous hospitality many can give testimony.
The funeral was held from the Congregational church, of which the deceased was a member, Thursday p. m. Services conducted by Rev. Cross and Munro.
