Actor, Painter and Musician.
Born Nicholas Joseph Sciurba.
He served in the United States Navy prior to his acting career.
He appeared on many TV shows and in films (1955 in the series "Wiretapper" as a child, appearing alongside his father Richard Benedict, through 2001 in the movie "Kept"), but is probably best known for his roles in Soap Operas. He played Philip Brent on the soap opera All My Children (1973-1978) and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for that role. He played Michael Scott (1980-1981) on The Young and the Restless. He played Ron Washington on Another Life from 1982 to 1983. He was Curtis Reed in Days of Our Lives (1993 - 2001).
Nick had an emergency spinal cord surgery on July 2, 2023 in Arizona. As a result of the surgery, he became paralyzed from the neck down and two days after his surgery he was moved to hospice care. He died of complications from the surgery on July 14, 2023, his 77th birthday.
