Douglas James Baldwin,75, of Mansfield, passed on a sunny afternoon, the 30th of July. Doug was born June 14, 1947, in Salamanca, the son of the late James and Esther Baldwin of Ellicottville NY.

In Doug's younger life he worked at the local auto garage in Ellicottville. He was drafted in to "Uncle Sam's Army" shortly after high school. From there he drove truck for Otis Steel before starting his career for Cattaraugus County. He started out as a truck driver hauling waste, and later retired as the Waste Management Coordinator. While at the county he worked part time driving a milk truck. After retirement, he taught commercial driving at BTTI, hauled stone for Boehmer Trucking, and ended his working career delivering auto parts at Emerlings.
He was a member of the Ellicottville Vol. Fire Dept.
Besides his hard work, Douglas enjoyed time with his children and their families, fixing anything, daily tinkering with projects, and heckling his family and friends. Including his famous one liners - such as " use your head for something other than a hatrack".

Douglas is survived by his loving and loyal wife Linda Baldwin. Son Douglas Baldwin(Rosemary), daughter Michelle Jennings (Mike) , son Dennis Baldwin (Shelley). Their mother and previous spouse Charlene Baldwin. Grandchildren Emily (Marvin) Shantler, Erin Baldwin, Caleb Jennings, Katryna Jennings and Cassie Bartz.

In addition to his beloved parents, Doug is predeceased by his brother, Dale Baldwin.

A Celebration of Life party will be held at the Ellicottville American Legion August 14th from 3-6. As Doug would say, don't miss work to be there!
