Oil Field Contractor Fails To Survive Wounds

J. L. Hensley, 30, oil field contractor of Holliday, who was injured in an automobile accident three miles north of that city late Sunday, died in a local hospital Monday afternoon.

In the accident, Mr. Hensley sustained a bad fracture of the skull. Lewis McBride, a farmer, also of Holliday, received minor injuries, and was reported recovering rapidly at the Wichita Falls General Hospital Monday night.

McBride, working on the lights of his car, which he had parked alongside of the road, was injured when Hensley's car collided with the parked automobile, according to accounts of the wreck received at the hospital.

Mr. Hensley's wife and his father, J. E. Hensley, of Kendrick, Okla., arrived here Monday. The body will be forwarded to Kendrick Tuesday by the Merkle Undertaking Company. Funeral services will probably be held the same day.
