John Dan Goodwin, 87, of Louisa, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2004, in a local nursing home.
He was a retired farmer and lumberman. He was the husband of the late Mildred Badgett Goodwin and the son of the late William D. and Elva Berger Goodwin.
He is survived by a nephew, Henry B. Goodwin Jr. and his wife, Charlotte, of Kents Store; a niece, Betsy Goodwin of Moorefield, W.Va.; two great-nephews, Richard Goodwin and his wife, Katherine, and Brian Goodwin and his wife, Jennifer; and one great-great-niece, Rachel Goodwin.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004, at Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2004, at Goodwin Family Cemetery, Louisa.
