Marguerite Kuhn

BEAVER DAM - Marguerite L. Kuhn, age 90, of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford on Saturday at 10 a.m. Family and friends may gather at the church on Saturday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Marguerite's cremated remains will be inurned at St. Kilian Cemetery in Hartford.

Marguerite Gahlman Klinger Kuhn was born on March 27, 1917, in the town of Clyman, Dodge County, Wis., to the late Benjamin and Loretta (Metzger) Gahlman. She was united in marriage with Francis Klinger on Sept. 12, 1939, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Watertown. They lived in Hartford for many years. Marguerite was a seamstress and was employed at W.B. Place & Co. in Hartford for 12 years. She later did custom sewing and alterations in her home. She and her husband were also foster parents for infants for many years. Francis preceded Marguerite in death on July 5, 1969. After his death, she worked as a nursing assistant for 10 years and later as a seamstress for Charles Fischer & Sons in Watertown. On March 2, 1979, she was united in marriage with Robert Kuhn. He preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1984.

Marguerite is survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first and second husbands, four brothers, Maurice, Francis, Henry and Richard Gahlman, and two sisters, Gertrude Grams and Dorothy Kearns.
