We announce with deep sorrow the passing of Miriam Alicia (Buffett) Dugas, Friday, August 6, 2004. A life long resident of Alder Point, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Buffett and Olive (Courtney) Buffett. She was a member of St. Anne's Church, Alder Point.
She is survived by her daughter, Audrey (Mrs. Ron Radies), Calgary, her daughter-in-law, Mary (Mrs. Freeman Dugas), Alder Point, her sons, Robert, Winnipeg and Francis, Bras d'OR, grandchildren, Darren, Shane, Darlene, Cindy, Audrey Mae, Ginny, Joey, Allsa and Derrick, great-grandchildren, Megan, Courtney, Taylor, Ryan, Josh, Alex and Christina.
Also surviving are her sisters, Violet (Mrs. Michael Williams), Alder Point, Magdelian (Mrs. Don Dick), Alberta, Lillian (Mrs. Gerald Devoe), Boularderie, Margaret (Mrs. Tremaine Deveaux), Alder Point. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael, daughter, Catherine, son Freeman, infant grandson, Freeman, great-granddaughter, Leah and brothers, Bill, Gordon and John Joe.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the direction of G. R. Francis and Son Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. A memorial mass will take place Thursday, 10:30 am in St. Anne's Church, Alder Point. Interment in St., Joseph's Cemetery, Bras d'Or. If friends desire, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
