Patricia "Patty" Ann Horner (Caples), 65 of San Antonio, TX passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 14th, 2023. Patty was born in Johnstown, PA on April 16th, 1958, to Albert "Skip" and Ruth (Ewel) Caples. She graduated with honors from Johnstown High School in 1976. Patty married Byron "B.K." Horner, and together they had 2 children, Mindy Fox and Christopher Horner. She worked as an office supervisor, a home maker and caretaker for her disabled son. Patty loved her children and her family like no other. She enjoyed reading romance novels, cleaning while dancing to Motown music, collecting cookbooks, breezing through crossword puzzles, vacationing in Myrtle Beach with her family, laughing at her husband's antics, and decorating the entire house for Christmas. She was also an accomplished bargain shopper. Patty was very loving and caring. She opened her home to anyone and everyone who needed her. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to so many people who loved her. Patty was never happier than when she was raising her children, spending time with her nieces and nephews, especially when she became a grandmother to her baby, "Ally Pie". Patty is survived by her loving husband, B.K., daughter Mindy, Son Christopher, Granddaughter Ally Grace, Niece Misty Shaffer, Son-in-law Stephen Fox, Jr., Brother Michael Caples, Sister Sara Ruth "Sally" Malcolm, and close nephews Kevin Shaffer, Cameron Lewis, Kayden Shaffer and Keshav Bhushan. She was also loved and cared for by her honorary daughters, Rachel Stoicsitz and Susan Intihar. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Albert Caples, brother Richard Caples, In-laws Dorothy (Frick) and Lester Horner. A Memorial service and visitation will be held at Porter Loring West, 1710 W Loop 1604 North, San Antonio, TX. Date and time can be found at: www.porterloring.com . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Patty's name to The Alzheimer's Association.
