Betty Sue Winkler, pictured with the Bible from which her husband preached for decades, was blessed to pass into the embrace of her Lord on Monday, May 29.

Born in Port Author, Texas on April 14, 1931, she lived to be 92 years of age. She was preceded in death by: (a) her husband, Wendell Winkler, (b) her father, Felton Hargrove, (c) her mother, Rhoda Hargrove, (d) her brother, Ronald Hargrove, and (e) her grandson, Matthew Winkler. She is survived by her three sons: Dan Winkler (Diane), Mike Winkler (Pam), and Tim Winkler (Camille). She also survived by fourteen grandchildren and an additional fourteen great grandchildren.

On Thursday, June 8, a small graveside memorial will celebrate her life and legacy at the Memory Hills Gardens Cemetery in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The service will begin at 11:00 AM and the family will welcome guests from 10:30 that morning until time for the service. Officiants will be her sons Dan Winkler and Mike Winkler with songs being led by her grandson, Asa Winkler, her granddaughter's husband, Eric Altman, and her great grandson, Clay Smith.

Mrs. Winkler's family feels blessed to reflect on her great life and the beautiful memories she helped etched into their hearts. They also wanted to remind everyone that Jesus not only made her life wonderful he also made her death glorious.
