WEAVER Frank Weaver, age 86, born on Sept. 30, 1929 in Jenkin Jones, W. VA passed away June 10,2016 from Alzheimer's Disease in Orlando, FL. Son of Quincy and Annie Weaver. Brother to (predeceased) J. Bruce, Roy L., Mark, Essie May Ross and (survived by) Billy Jo. Frank leaves his loving wife of over 63 years, Bette, daughters Joyce Weaver, Sandy Weaver (Jerry Canizares), Audrey Stephens (Steve Stephens), Joanne Pulis (Jay Pulis), grand-daughters Emily Pulis (Andy Bloomberg), Shelby Reid (Sim Reid), Maggie Stephens and great-grandson Lucas Reid. Graduate of Quarryville High School, Quarryville, PA. An alumni of Millersville University where as "Rebel" Weaver, #24, he played varsity basketball. On Nov. 15, 1952, he married Bette Anderson and with her, moved to Augusta, GA, where he was stationed in the Army. Upon discharge, they moved to York, PA where all their daughters were born. His business career relocated the family from PA and NJ to North Carolina. On his retirement from Collins & Aikman Corp. as Director of Purchasing & Planning, Bette and Frank moved to Florida. Frank started playing tennis at age 45 and continued to play until the age of 82. His love of the sport won him many tournaments and friends. During his retirement, his community involvement included Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army Soup Kitchen and serving on the board of Cabarrus Country Club. Frank's humor and love of life will be missed by all. A Celebration of Life will be held this Fall in the Florida Keys. (date to be announced) In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Frank's honor to St. Columba Episcopal Church in support of their outreach programs.
